SIA for Laboratory Building, Asumbi Girls High School

The Structural Integrity Assessment (SIA) for the Laboratory Building at Asumbi Girls High School was undertaken to evaluate the building’s capacity for the proposed addition of one extra floor. The assessment aimed to determine the structural soundness, safety, and suitability of the existing building to support vertical expansion without compromising stability or long-term durability. Detailed inspections and analysis were carried out to identify structural strengths, potential weaknesses, and the necessary reinforcements required for safe modification.

Commissioned by Asumbi Girls High School, the assignment focused exclusively on the structural assessment, ensuring that the findings provided a clear basis for informed decision-making regarding the proposed expansion.

Completed in 2020, the Structural Integrity Assessment provided valuable insights and recommendations, guiding the school in its development plans while prioritizing safety and compliance with engineering standards. The project supported the institution’s vision of expanding infrastructure to accommodate growing academic needs.
