The Structural Integrity Assessment (SIA) for Woodley Medical Centre at Adams Arcade, Nairobi, was undertaken to evaluate the main hospital building and determine its structural suitability for the completion of construction works. The assessment involved a detailed examination of the existing structure, focusing on safety, stability, and compliance with engineering standards. Key elements such as load-bearing capacity, material conditions, and overall structural soundness were analyzed to ensure that the building could safely accommodate ongoing and future hospital functions.
Commissioned by Kenuget Publishers, the assignment was specifically focused on providing technical guidance through a comprehensive structural evaluation. The findings outlined necessary measures and recommendations to facilitate the safe and efficient completion of construction works.
Completed in 2022, the SIA provided a clear framework for decision-making, enabling the client to proceed confidently with the hospital’s development while ensuring long-term safety, durability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
